In this class, before we fold anythings I will show the 3 different kind of hands warm up exercises so the blood circulates efficiently and make your hands move good. I will start with super easy and very simple things for the clients who have never done it before at the beginning for 30 minutes to see if they are comfortable doing for 1 hour including basic folds depends on how it goes. If they are willing to continue more challenging things, including 5 minutes break inbetween the 55 minutes sessions, I could teach up to 2 hours at most per class ( in this case I will take a cash or pay pal) for additional payment. Mainly I am thinking introducing somethings memorable for being in Boston as a souvenir but not complicated because of the time limitation. We are going to take it easy and enjoy folding with a big smile on your face!
I am a native Japanese origami practitioner. I have started doing origami for a rehabilitation of my hands. I have discovered that the origami is more deep, calming and enjoyable. Can you imagine how that one boring paper could turn into something super incredible!! I would like to share this feelings to others! I am also a member of the Origami USA and I am an aspired self studying art therapy student with using origami and recognized by Origami Therapy Association (OTA) in New York!
origami papers will be provided, other office supplies
The class will be held in downtown Boston (usually at the Asian restaurant "Wagamama" in Faneuil Hall). But I am pretty flexible. If clients want to have it in cafe or different places, please let me know. I will definitely consider to suit your preference.
The class fee will be $25 per hour per person in each class 2 packs of origami papers are provided. I'll ask about your background with origami and your skill level in the e mail before.
