In our "Make Your Own Souvenir Workshop", you will study images from the emblematic moments of ancient Greek art (Cycladic figurines, ceramics & pottery from the geometric & classical era). These images will inspire you to make your own unique sculptures or ceramics using clay and take it home with you! You'll attend a 2.5-hour pottery workshop in downtown Athens, right under the shade of the Acropolis. I'll make an introduction to the ancient Greek ceramics and help you learn everything about the different forms of this ancient Greek art. By the end of this lecture, you'll know the basics of Greek pottery and have a better understanding of its important role in the everyday life of the Ancient Greeks. You will choose from a wide range of objects used in Ancient Greece before starting the construction of the sculpture/figurine of your choice with the help of professional instructors. Your souvenir will be baked, let dry and can be sent back to your hotel or home country upon request (shipping fees apply).
