We will first play a round of batting game at a retro batting cage, a classical way to relax for Japanese “salaryman” and a great way to start a night in Asakusa. We can also have a few games of “UFO catcher” (claw crane) if you don’t feel like using too much energy. After exercising, we will stroll around Asakusa, drop by interesting places and go deep into alleyways where an uniquely Japanese night scene takes place. Then we will go to a few izakayas that I personally recommend, they are more local and hidden, where we can have dinner, drink sake and try out a large variety of local spirits from all over Japan. These sake also makes great gift for you to bring back home! Lastly, I will take you to a spot by the Sumida river where we can sit down, have a few cups more drinks, chat and chill around while enjoying the great river view with reflection of Tokyo Skytree. It is a great and relaxing way enjoy summer nights at Asakusa.
Hi, I am Shogo. I’m a university student with experiences in acting, modeling and photography. I took a gap year in 2017 and traveled the world! I would love to introduce the lesser-known hidden gems of Asakusa, a neighborhood where I lived for 2 years with my knowledge and experiences as a local. I speak English well enough, hope we can have a truly fun local night-out in Asakusa.
