May through October is Sea Turtle Season on Hilton Head Island! The other 6 months we shift into Sharks! Look for the beach walk and shark teeth experience November thru April. We will meet at a specific, off the beaten path beach and walk approximately 1 mile (depending on tide). We will discuss what we find, what we should keep or leave on the beach and how our everyday activities affect what may be happening in the ocean. We will also carry a non-plastic trash bag to help keep our beach clean, if we should see any trash. This saves any marine life or birds from ingesting or being entangled in harmful material. A few of my favorite topics include Sea Turtles, Horseshoe Crabs, sand crabs, fiddler crabs, ghost crabs, sharks, sand dollars, and of course our local dolphin
We will meet at Fish Haul Beach Park and walk the ever changing beaches to discover what lies on the sand or in the water at varying tide levels
最多10人參加，不限年齡。 This is a beach area where locals typically bring their dogs. Alligators and tracks have been seen at Fish Hall Beach Park as well but we do not get close to the freshwater body where they spend the majority of their time. Information…
Comfortable clothes and footwear you won't mind potentially getting wet from a walk on the beach
The town of Hilton Head maintains restroom facilities located at the parking area. We will walk approximately 1/2 a mile in one direction and back, totaling just over a mile in length.
