I will take you on a tour of our Stabin Museum museum galleries to examine and discuss the details of the work featuring Victor Stabin's Turtle Series paintings, a suite of allegorical biographic oil paintings and the "ABC" Gallery featuring "Daedal Doodle" - a 10-year-long drawing and literary project featuring alliterative characters he created using the dictionary as a muse. The tour also consists of showing an animated short film he created based on the characters in his ABC Book. Victor Stabin designed nine postage stamps for the U.S. Postal Service and a KISS Album cover and will he will also give a brief artist's talk about working as an illustrator. Additionally, I'll talk a little about the history of the building, formerly a wire works factory, silk mill, dress factory and toy factory.
I'm the co-founder of The Stabin Museum and Cafe Arielle at the Stabin Museum built in a renovated historic wireworks factory (where we also house our AirBnb "Wireworks Factory Loft"). I have owned the restaurant/museum since 2004 and have managed numerous gallery events, musical events and culinary events from weddings to beer and wine tastings, from causual luncheons to the finest dinners.
A selection of Bottled Water, Soda, Wine or Beer for the tour.
Tour of The Stabin Museum
Each of the gallery spaces of this unique and historic building is full of mesmerizing art. The projection room is a great space to view animation work, and the studio "speakeasy" is a unique experience due to the way you enter the workspace. The museum also boasts a cafe with an underground stream visible from the dining room and a beautiful outdoor dining patio - The Avant Garden.
