Want to learn more about Portuguese wine and know why everyone is talking about it? I will offer a range of personalized wine tasting sessions tailored to your taste and group size. Maybe you’d like an overview of the country’s wine offering, or just to focus on one specific region, like Douro or Alentejo? It's up to you. Let me know what you are interested in and I will do my best to tailor it for you. Usually, most of my clients know very little about Portuguese wine so I always give a brief explanation and history of the 14 Portuguese wine regions and national grape varieties, then we start tasting! We usually try an average of 6-8 wines from different regions and I will tell you all about the particularities of each one from green wines, whites, reds and some of our special liquors Wine tastings last about 1,5 to 2 hours depending on how much you would like to know. I can accommodate groups of up to 8 people seating down on the sessions or 10 people standing.
Hello! I’m Artur, a passionate wine expert born and raised in Lisbon. I founded Mercearia do Vinho, a specialised wine shop in the heart of Lisbon, to share my love for Portuguese wines with everyone. Wines I hand-pick from the small independent producers and the famous Portuguese vineyards during my travelings across the country’s wine regions. I’ll be sharing my passion and knowledge with you.

Mercearia do Vinho is located on one of the sides roads of Calçada do Combro, right in front of a big car parking building with the famous rooftop bar, Park. There's no way you can miss the big lettering on the wall "Mercearia do Vinho". I will be waiting for you inside the shop. In case you need further help, I'll provide you with my contact after booking.
A good mood and curiosity about Portuguese wines :)
Children under 18 won’t be able to be part of the experience and therefore no need to count them in on the booking but there will be room for them with us, so no need to worry.
