Learn how to create the magical flavours of Singaporean and Asian cuisine in my outdoor home kitchen in the beautiful neighbourhood in the east of Singapore, called Siglap. You will bring home the best holiday souvenir – the ability to recreate the flavours you have savoured in Singapore. This is an evening class which lets you to use the daytime to enjoy the sights and sounds of Singapore and allows you use the evening to come chill out in my home for dinner but with the added bonus of learning to cook the meal and cooking it yourself. I have to say that, this is a pretty efficient way to spend your holiday in Singapore! :) But I can also conduct classes in the morning or afternoon, just contact me to discuss. It is a 3 hour, hands on cooking class. You will be cooking in pairs. After the class, we sit down at the front porch for our well deserved meal and pleasant conversation. And sometimes the cat comes over to say hello! Menu is different everyday. I teach Singapore, Indian, Malay, Chinese, Peranakan/Nonya, Eurasian, Indonesian, Thai , Sri Lankan menus. My life motto is best summed up by the Ray Bradbury quote, “The things that you do, should be the things that you love. The things that you love, should be the things that you do.” That’s why I’m a food docent, cat lover, personal chef, food sorceress at Cookery Magic, and cooking teacher. I run classes in my home kitchen in Siglap and over the past 18 years, more than 25,000 people from around the world have attended, many more than once. I am also a potter wannabe! So the food that you cook will be served on many of my own hand made ceramics! :) In a past life, I was an engineer before I decided to follow my heart and teach cooking. I’m also a Passion Ambassador for the Singapore Tourism Board, and it’s truly an honour to host media/social influencers and VIP guests at home and represent Singapore at international culinary events.

The class is conducted in my private home in the beautiful residential neighbourhood of Siglap. It is an old house with a bohemian look and feel. It has an accelectic collection art pieces, antiques and lots of ceramics (I am a potter wannabe). The garden has lots of flowering trees and herbs. The first thing that hits you when you walk into the garden, is the fragrance of the frangipani flowers. This is as local as you can get!
