Join us and our llamas for a 2-mile nature walk and explore the trails on our farm. We'll walk trails along our pastures and into the woods with your own llama companion. You'll learn the history of the camelid family, llama domestication, and how llamas are used today. We'll also have the opportunity to tour the farm facility, meet the rest of the herd, and learn more about how we prepare and use their fiber.
For over 30 years we have been raising, showing, breeding, and training champion llamas in Albemarle county, and were among the first llama breeders in Virginia, winning national-level titles. We regularly host llama shows and fiber festivals both on our farm and around the state. Your hosts for the treks will be Paige and Steven. They began hosting and offering trekking with llamas in 2017 on their farm, and at local parks and trails.
