The experience will start with a quick tour of our edible garden and aquaponics set-up. As we go around, guests will have an all sensory experience of the plants and flowers they can grow on their own—coupled with tips on how to properly take care of each type of plants. You will be given the opportunity to pick some of the herbs, vegetables, and flowers which will then be served later on. Get ready to get down and dirty during the hands-on urban gardening workshop. Choose from the different types of seeds available for planting in your own pot (yours to take home after, of course!) and learn about the best practices on how to start your very own edible garden. To complete the urban garden to table experience, the day will conclude with a hearty brunch made out of your bounty harvests. Savor the food and indulge in meaningful conversations with the other guests to get everyone inspired on starting their journey of growing their own food.
I'm a Human Resources professional turned into an urban gardener and aquaponics enthusiast. I started as a hobbyist around three years ago when my husband got interested in aquaponics. We have since travelled to Singapore, Australia and all over the Philippines in pursuit of urban gardening and natural farming knowledge. What started as a weekend hobby turned out to be a life passion through our start-up company, Rustico Farm. We have hosted friends and a few organizations with urban gardening and aquaponics workshops to spread our love of growing your own food naturally.
