This is a very interactive and creative glassblowing experience for you to experience, learn about and enjoy the techniques of glass-blowing (aka "lamp-working) in a personal, one-on-one setting. We are the only glassblowing experience that books 2 people at a time so that you have a truly one-on-one experience with a lot of hands-on time on the torch. However, if you have more than 2 people in your party - just ask! Also, if the published time slot does not work for you on the day you want to come just send us a message - we can usually move around a few things in our schedule to accommodate your request. :-) Once you arrive, you will go over what ornaments you want to make, size, colors, etc. Once you and Jason have the "blueprint" laid out, Jason will create the ornaments with you: He will demo each ornament first. Then, you get to make your ornaments with Jason's guidance (limited to basic ornaments). If you do not feel comfortable on the torch, you can have Jason make the ornaments for you, or he can do the difficult parts (wide selection of ornaments to choose from). It's entirely up to you how much or little you want to do; however, you will be under the hands-on guidance and supervision of Jason at all times for your safety. We usually end up making 2-4 ornaments per person, unless they are complicated pieces; you also get to keep any demo pieces Jason makes!
Stephanie & Jason
Jason is a second-generation professional glassblower with 30 years experience. His artistic process began as a young child when he started learning the fundamentals of glassblowing from his parents, both glassblowers. Jason's career started at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas as a demonstration artist glassblower, where he had the opportunity to work aside many world-renowned glassblowers, which gave him a broad perspective of techniques. Our business, Starry Night Glass Art, offers custom made glass memorial keepsakes, hand-crafted with the utmost care and respect in order to preserve the memory of your departed loved one or loyal pet. By taking a small amount of ashes and fusing them within lab-grade quality glass, he creates a lasting and artistic tribute, celebrating the life of your loved one or pet with beauty and grace.

We will be in our home studio on Lake Martha. After your experience is over, your pieces will need to anneal and cool down in the kiln for approximately 1 hour. Please take this extra time into consideration when planning your day. You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy on our lakeside before or after your experience (weather permitting), or you can go to the nearby "Paddle Pub" for something to eat/drink while you wait.
