Souvlaki and Tzatziki are two of the best known greek delicacies! Crispy, juicy, roasted home made gyros (thin slices of pork meat). Few people know that there is a way to make gyros in a kitchen oven, without special grilling equipment. First of all we will welcome you with a cup of greek coffee and we will talk about greek cuisine and introduce ourselves. Then we will all wear our aprons and we will guide you step by step to cook a delicious meal. You will be able to prepare the spicy marinade, perfectly roast the souvlaki, chop the meat with the chef's knives. You will also prepare creamy & refreshing tzatziki, mixing yoghourt, cucumber, garlic, olive oil and spices. Then we will fill the pitas with the meat, tomato, onion and tzatziki. And -of course- wrap the souvlakia. It's a hands-on experience you will taste and enjoy with a glass of wine or beer!
Hi! I am Marina, a graphic designer. But my passion for cooking led me to become a professional cook as well. I have been working in several restaurants since I decided to change my life career. As I grew up tasting my grandmother's recipes, the Mediterranean cuisine became my favourite one and I focused on it. I would happily share my secrets with you! Far from that, I live at the countryside of Athens near to the airport, a hidden treasure that is worth it to visit. So, I invite you to my home to participate in an interactive cooking lesson. We will cook and taste Greek traditional food and discover local flavours!

Welcome to my home kitchen in the countryside of Athens. It lies on the hillside of Merenda mountain at Kalivia Thorikou city among olive groves and pine trees, thyme and oregano. It is a non-touristic place, away from the city noise and near to the airport.
