Our culinary meeting takes place in the beautiful Polish countryside not far from Krakow – about 30km south of the city towards Lanckorona and Wadowice. I will prepare a traditional Polish meal with local produce, much of which is grown in my cottage garden. Every Weekend throughout the summer, you can join me in a magical garden in the heart of the countryside. We will sit down outside and enjoy local produce in the fresh air. For sure, there will be several well-known dishes, starting with a soup – probably chicken broth, or fresh vegetable soup, then the main course of meat grilled on an open fire, or goulash cooked on a traditional wooden stove. For dessert, look out for delicious cheesecake with chocolate sauce, sprinkled with wild berries from the garden. Sometimes we cook a traditional “prażone” on the fire – ie a cast iron cooking pot filled with potatoes, bacon, cabbage, onion, wild duck or beef. For vegetarians, I will happily prepare fresh dumplings and salads. All you can eat - Delicious! Afterward, we can go for a stroll in the surrounding forest – if you’ve never before collected mushrooms, now’s the time to discover a new passion .
Hello! I’m Marta, I'm sculptor, but i also love cooking. I’ve always enjoyed sharing my knowledge of my beautiful home town, and more about art of fermented foods/probiotics/prebiotics, both through the website I run eataway.com and with all the wonderful travellers I meet in person. I also love cooking. That means delicious, home-made food freshly-prepared for my family and friends, and fun evenings of conversation and shared experiences. Our culinary meeting takes place in the beautiful Polish countryside not far from Krakow – about 30km south of the city towards Lanckorona and Wadowice.
My favourite flavour has to be that of wild mushrooms. Half of my village is covered with forests, so mushrooms are everywher
Food and fun! We play wild, village croquet! My family is a bunch of nice, normal people who turn into competitive monsters when we pick up a croquet mallet. If you love croquet and would like to see a beautiful corner of rural Poland, come and join us for an afternoon meal and game.
Please note my cottage is about one hour drive from the city centre. Located in the beautiful polish country side. The best way to get there is Über or taxi approx 25 euros one way.
