Firstly we will go over the history and culinary background of soup dumplings in each Chinese region. We will start by preparing the dough from scratch, then introduce the must ingredients for soup and cooking method , this is a super important key to the success of making soup dumplings. Then we will work on seasoning the fillings(pork); onto the most challenging part, the wrapping and folding! We will steam what we make, Then you will go home with skills of making soup dumplings by yourself!

I am a classically trained and certified chef specialized in Chinese delicacy dishes like dumplings, buns, noodles and other Sichuan region dishes. I was born and raised in Sichuan China(AKA Szechuan in US), the birthplace of classic Chinese dishes. I have been living in NYC for over 10 years working as a designer. As great as the Chinese food is here in NYC, nothing can compare to food from home. This nostalgia for my home cooking caused me to enroll in Sichuan New East Cuisine School. After completing my studies I set out on a mission to bring the joy of Sichuan cooking to America, I hope you join me on this journey.
