So you bought that fancy camera but don’t quite know how to use it? For this two hour experience we will meet other moms, dads, grand parents, or anyone interested in beginning photography. This gathering will be 8 or less people. We will be focusing on the basics of photography with an emphasis on our roles as family historian. We will be going over the best way to use our DSLR cameras to get the desired outcomes. We will put it to use by photographing our own family or attending a local event for practice.
I’ve always been passionate about capturing the art of a moment before it passes. I am my own family’s historian and I will leave a legacy for many generations with what I’m photographing now. I love teaching and coaching and this is a perfect emalgamation of the two! I’ve owned my own photography company for two years and have been teaching and coaching for 8 years.
We will start at a 1930’s historic mansion to talk about lighting, back grounds and basic camer information. Next we will walk a few blocks to the guests’ choice of either a park or public lake to photograph their models.
You will need transportation from the Mayberry Mansion to the park/lake. It’s only a few miles but we suggest having your own vehicle. There is ample parking at the lake and park but there is limited street parking at the Mayberry Mansion. Please plan accordingly.
