Eat your way across the world - one sandwich at a time - as together we try to discover what exactly is the 'New York Sandwich'. This is an ALL WEATHER experience. As we eat, we'll hear about the history of immigrant communities that have shaped New York and enjoy the amazing sandwiches they brought with them to the city. Starting at a hole-in-the-wall Italian delicatessen, we'll visit locals-only surprise sandwich destinations. At each venue we'll dine with the communities that influenced these authentic eateries. All of this will be done as we wander through the historic neighborhoods of Soho and Greenwich Village. This experience is ALL INCLUSIVE of food, and we can accommodate both vegetarians and carnivores, however this tour is not available for vegan or gluten-free folks. Sorry! And if you would enjoy a beverage after the tour, or on another day during your NYC visit, join me on my BRAND NEW Airbnb Experience bar crawl "Pour One Out For NYC". * Don't see a day/time that suits you? Ask me for a new time and I can try to accommodate. ** Check out our publicly acclaimed second sandwich tour "Feast on Sandwiches" on Airbnb.
Hi, I'm Ben, aka 'A Man & His Sandwich' (check me out on Instagram @a_man_and_his_sandwich). What once started as a series of articles about New York's best sandwiches, has since snowballed into a range of NYC food experiences that share my search for the world's best sandwich, which over 1200+ guests have now enjoyed. Bringing my global search into the 'sandwich capital of the world' - New York - on this experience I want to celebrate all of the stories that we each bring to the city via our own sandwich heritages, and share them amongst the group as we eat.
Sandwiches, sandwiches, and more sandwiches. You will not go home hungry.
We’ll begin inside 'Ground Support Cafe' in Soho, before we visit three unique food establishments. We'll wander through Soho and Greenwich Village, stopping in the iconic Washington Square Park along the way. This is an intimate and authentic foodie experience that combines food, history and a little bit of walking too.
