Your alpaca walking experience will begin with some fascinating facts about alpacas before we set off to meet our furry, fleecy and feathered residents! In the first field you'll meet Misty our 'kissing llama' who loves to give kisses for her favourite food! Fabulous photo opportunity! You'll also meet our female alpacas including mamas, yearlings and this years babies. Tinker, Bell and their cute baby emus also reside in this field! Fabio and Eric - our two gorgeous Valais Black Nose Sheep will no doubt trot over for food, giving you the opportunity to stroke their wonderfully unique curly coats! You will then meet Larry - our 6ft 10in 'leaping llama' and all his alpaca buddies! We'll harness up a fluffy friend for you and start our walk around acres of beautiful countryside. You'll have plenty of time to bond with your alpaca - one of the most peaceful, 'soft to the touch' animals you could hope to meet! Don't forget to take as many photos as you like to capture those all important memories. We finish by hand feeding those hungry pacas before heading back. We have a coffee bar and gift shop that will be open after your walk so don’t forget to bring some change :-)
My husband and I own an alpaca farm in an outstandingly beautiful village near Stratford upon Avon. We left the rat race to follow our dream and here we are a few years later the happy owners of 28 alpacas, 4 llamas (including Misty our kissing llama and Larry the tallest llama in the country!) emus, Valais Black Nose Sheep, goats and horses. We also rescue as many animals in need as we can. These include donkeys, ponies, chickens and ducks! We love sharing this beautiful part of Shakespeare’s county with our guests who soon become as passionate about our wonderfully friendly animals as we do!
The experience takes place in beautiful countryside covering over 60 acres of beautiful fields, rolling hills and lakes.
Alpacas are herd animals so experiences can only be booked for two or more people. Everyone should be confident walkers over bumpy/muddy ground. Children under ten share an alpaca with a parent.
