We'll leave Santiago around 9am and take a pretty 1,5 hour drive to the Casablanca Valley, previously famous mainly for its' whites but now producing increasingly amazing reds as well. We'll avoid the large producers and concentrate solely on boutique wineries with - it goes without saying - fantastic wines. Depending on availability that day, we'll start off at the very small and wonderful Attilio & Mochi winery where the Brazilian couple of Angela and Marcos, who left their sucessful wine importing business in Brazil to pursue their dream, are producing some wonderfully fresh, mineral, original and award winning wines. Angela is truly one of the most charming winemakers I know, making the visit a memorable experience for everyone I've taken there. After an hour and a half or two, we will move on either to the beautiful Villard winery, established by a franco-chilean family who make some of the best cold climate syrahs in the country in an amazing setting, or to the wonderful RE boutique winery (which recently won 34th place in the 50 Best Wineries in the world) that make some of the most delicious and original blends in the country. We'll be usually be back in Santiago by 4pm. A lunch stop is not included in the schedule, but we can be done (anything from an empanada to a sit-down lunch) if planned in advance and agreed-on with all the participants on the trip.
Mariana & Dominic
I'm a Irish/Brit who's lived outside Ireland since I was tiny, in London, Southern France, Madrid, Buenos Aires and (already!) 8 years in Chile. We started offering tours to the surroundings of Santiago (mainly up into the Andes, the coast and wineries in various of the nearby valleys) as a natural evolution to our Airbnb apartments. The tours are gradually becoming my main activity and I love taking our guests off the beaten track (away from the masses whenever possible) and I especially enjoy the winery tours . Wine has always been true passion of mine and so I'm thrilled to now be able to share this excitement with my guests introducing them to a few of the wonderful human-scale producers in Casablanca where one can have an intimate experience - often with the winemakers themselves.
Wine, cheese, bread, olives
Tastings and winery tours fees are included.
Depending on the availability of the day, we will visit two of the following: - Attilio & Mochi - a small set-up in which the tour and tasting are carried by the owners themselves. - Bodegas RE - Larger than AM while still boutique, with some of the most interesting blends in the valley. - Villard Fine Wines - The Villards have been making fantastic wines in the valley for over 30 years. - Additional activities, such as lunch, can be discussed
最多3人參加，年齡須滿18歲。家長可攜帶2歲以下兒童參加。 No special requirements.
My aim is for the trip to be laid back, entertaining and informative, hopefully as if travelling with a friend. I speak native-level English, French and Spanish.
