Just south of Chinatown, the Outram/Tanjong Pagar district is a residential neighborhood where traditional shops co-exist side by side with modern businesses. Charming architecture in the historic shophouses with the tall skyscrapers of the commercial district at the backdrop form a delightful contrast to the public housing of the area.
