Let’s begin with drinks, nothing like a nice lager at the end of a hot day, or if you’re brave enough, you can have some coconut arrack too. We’ll take a short tuk tuk ride from the bar and find ourselves at Galle Face Green. This is a beachside park which is one of the nicest places to view the sunset. We will commence our night of heavy eating with some local street snacks (much like a starter before dinner). We will then take a short walk through old Colombo where you are free to ask as many questions as you like about the history of the Island and the general do’s and don’ts of Sri Lanka. We can make short stops at the many archeological sites where you would get a more in-depth idea of Colombo’s multicultural heritage, just before we arrive at Hultsdorph for dinner. We will visit a street filled with food stalls where you can sample a variety of items that celebrate the different cultures that have influenced the country. We’re sure you will find some lifetime favourites! Following this, we will proceed to one of Colombo’s oldest ice cream parlours where we will end our evening and you may begin to recover from ‘The Colombo Food Coma’. • Vegan/Vegetarian friendly
Being someone who was born and raised in Colombo, I have always been intrigued by what this city has to offer. I've been working in the hospitality industry for over 4 years and am a passionate foodie. Through my experience, I have constantly found that travellers often tend to overlook Colombo. We city folk have our very own unique, quirky culture that is truly one of a kind. And that is why I want you to experience the food and culture of Colombo with me. Come have a food coma with me. You will then understand what "keeping it local" really means.
The experience price includes the cost of all food and alcoholic/non alcoholic beverages
