Who was John Hancock besides the guy with the big signature? Did Sam Adams brew beer? What did John Adams do before he was President? We’ll get to know the forgotten heroes James Otis & Joseph Warren. Paul Revere is so much more than “the midnight rider”. I’ll tell you about an early traitor!! We will walk along the Freedom Trail & see the New & Old Massachusetts State House, Boston Common, Granary Burial Ground, King’s Chapel Church, Old & New City Hall, Old South Meeting House, Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market. We will walk the colonial streets on the way to the Old North Church & Paul Revere’s House. While in the North End, if time allows, we will visit a bread shop most local don’t even know about! We will also talk about Boston’s many claims to fame: America’s first public park & botanical garden, subway, oldest candy company & baseball stadium - Go Sox! This is primarily a Freedom Trail tour with the addition of the biographies & motivations of the important figures of the Revolutionary War. It is also an overview of Boston & the many things that makes it special. Come spend a few hours with me - by the end of the tour I believe you will love Boston too!
I want to introduce you to the “Rock Stars” of the American Revolution! We will walk along the Freedom Trail & talk about the people behind the events of the early years of the American Revolution. Let’s talk grudges & affairs & a traitor at work well before Benedict Arnold! I will bring the Patriots to life through our discussion of the 1760s to early 1776. I will tell you the motivations & actions of Samuel Adams, John Hancock, John Adams & my favorite - Paul Revere. Also some virtually forgotten early heroes like Sons of Liberty James Otis & Dr. Joseph Warren. We’ll explore the history & the sites of Boston together. (If time allows I’ll take you to a hidden bread shop that most locals don’t know about too...)
I will have a map of Boston for you
