We'll begin at the end: visiting the location of Hamilton's grave outside Trinity Church. We'll learn about Hamilton's lowly start before venturing into the heart of the Financial District, stepping into historic buildings of the past and learning about the Revolutionary War, its impact on NYC, and the rise of our great city as the capital of the USA. We'll wind our way down the historic streets of the old Dutch settlement and end outside a historic pub (hint: It used to double as the War Department in Washington's day), where we can step inside for a pint (not included in the price).
As a certified sightseeing guide and history geek, I love telling the story of Revolutionary Era NYC through the prism of the greatest New Yorker to ever live: Alexander Hamilton! Spend two hours walking the same streets that our Founding Fathers did (yes, we'll visit the Room Where It Happened! or what's left of it!), taking in iconic and historic sights of downtown NYC and the Financial District. Learn about our history as the Capital of the USA and why today's economic systems owe gratitude to the brilliant mind of Alexander Hamilton! And, yes, we will quote a famous Broadway musical!
