There's not many things that go better together in life than whisky and live blues, so we figured we'd put it together into an evening full of fun and mayhem. We'll set up an OPEN single malt whisky bar for you to enjoy, featuring 10 different whiskies that you can appreciate at your own pace and in any order you like (yes, all this is included in the price of your ticket). You'll also enjoy a couple of sets of our stomping blues music, and throughout the night we'll teach you a thing or two about appreciating the finest drink ever made. The result is a night that is part house party, part whisky tasting, and part blues gig. Whisky, music, and mischief. It doesn’t get better than that.
We are Felipe and Paul, otherwise known as The Rhythm and Booze Project. We're a duo fusing live music and whisky through gigs, tasting events, and multimedia. Our music incorporates roots, folk, and blues music in a uniquely gritty mix of its own, blending hypnotic grooves with raucous energy and irresistible showmanship. For our whisky tasting events, we merge performance and live music truly unique multi-sensory experiences. Felipe also writes about whisky for Forbes, scotchwhisky.com, and other industry publications, and Paul recently completed his PhD on the history of jazz drumming.
Located near the King's Cross station, we'll take over The Harrison's intimate basement speakeasy space.
There will be oatcakes, but we recommend eating before the concert. We'll also turn away anyone (with no refund) who shows up drunk or not in a fit state to appreciate this experience.
