We will be setting up and enjoying a 75 minute Chinese tea ceremony surrounded by trees and greenery. This is the lesser known, San Francisco local's hiking and picnic spot with my #1 favorite view of the San Francisco Bay. We will sample a minimum of 3 types of teas at different fermentation/oxidation levels. We will be walking through the origin of the different varietals of tea, where its grown, how its harvested, and how the teas are processed. We will then take a 45 minute hike and see one of the most spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay and San Francisco Skyline.
I grew up in the Richmond district of San Francisco. I am an admirer of nature. Tea is simply one of the many products of nature. I was introduced to high quality single origin tea during a business trip to China in July 2014. At the time, I was enamored by the concept of hacking my own biology to become the best version of myself. I experimented with floatation tanks, saunas, nootropic supplements, IV therapy and anything I could get my hands on. The tea farmers taught me that properly grown and processed tea was the oldest and most effective nootropic supplement. Since 2014, I've visited China 2-3 times per year spending cumulatively 5+ months visiting dozens of tea farms and buyers sampling over 200 types of tea. I have since shared the tea experience with hundreds of people who have since adopted tea as a part of their daily routine.
A minimum of 3 types of the highest quality single origin teas I have sourced personally from different regions of China. All…
Special Gai Wan for brewing tea and individual serving cups will be provided.
We will be having our nature tea ceremony in the picnic area of San Bruno Mountain state park, one of the larger and lesser known parks in the San Francisco area. Then, we will hike the trails with spectacular views of both the gorgeous blue San Francisco Bay and the San Francisco Skyline.
最多6人參加，年齡須滿14歲。 Have some food before you come! Tea is better on a full stomach =)
A water bottle for the short 45 minute hike
Weather can be breezy and/or foggy, I would highly recommend layering up and bringing a scarf or a hat to keep you warm while we enjoy our hot tea. Wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes. Eat some fiber and fats as it will allow the tea to be better and more slowly absorbed. Nuts and bars are great!
