With 10 year's professional cheffing experience and 8 years running Scalpay View B&B the opening of the smokehouse was a logical progression after perfecting the art of hot smoking salmon for his B&B guests. The business is a relatively new startup home business. Already picking up awards for the Alder Hot Smoked Salmon and supplying high-end hotels and restaurants throughout Skye and Lochlash.

You will visit the external workings of the smokehouse and a tour outside the kitchen. Also we will have a talk about the smoking processes. Canapes and drinks in the lounge of our B&B overlooking the sea loch and Isle of Scalpay. Might be outside on good weather days. Look out for the resident otters. Due to strict food hygiene practice, there will be no access inside the kitchen area or smokehouse. Don't worry this won't detract from the tour.
