We will find the perfect spot to meditate in Auckland's historic Domain, a large park located close to the city. Then I will guide you through a beautiful sequence of meditation techniques so not only will you feel grounded and relaxed, you will have the tools to easily meditate on your own. I have deep experience in many different meditation traditions including breath focused meditation, loving kindness meditation, Buddhist meditation, yogic meditation, Christian contemplation, Sufi meditation, walking meditation, and very simple meditation techniques. In this experience I will share a variety of meditations with you, in a beautiful location. When we first meet, we will be strangers to each other. When we leave the experience, we will leave as friends with a deep sense of belonging.
I come from a family of yoga teachers. I am a registered yoga teacher and the published author of a work on meditation and relaxation. I have had many years of experience in meditation, experiencing and learning from many different cultural backgrounds. Meditation can keep you grounded in the present moment, and not stuck in the past, or living in a future which has not yet arrived. Meditation can bring happiness, inner peace, and calmness to busy lives. Even though meditation can be simple once you know how, learning from a qualified instructor will give you the tools.
We will meet near the Auckland War Memorial Museum, in the Domain and then walk a short distance until we find the right spot. If you want to book this experience for a different time please inquire.
If you can't sit still don't worry. If you are not comfortable sitting cross legged, please sit in a way that is comfortable for you. You can stand or lie down or bring a chair if it helps.
