We'll walk through some of DC's unique historic neighborhoods, stopping along the way to try the best vegan food in the city. We'll visit a few of my favorite locally owned places serving amazing vegan food, each in a different neighborhood and representing a distinct cuisine: - a cozy Jamaican tea shop with a great selection of snacks and tonics - a soul food restaurant with the best collards and mac n' cheese (and pretty much everything) you've ever had, vegan or not - a bakery famous for its giant sticky buns - the best Ethiopian place in a city of great Ethiopian places Along the way, I'll highlight some of the history of the area and how it came to be such a hotbed of vegan cuisine from around the world. Our route will include some light hills, so be sure to bring your walking shoes along with an empty stomach!
I've lived in DC since 2014 and been vegan for about three years. I love to cook and I'm always looking for inspiration on my adventures across DC's fast growing vegan food scene. I'm super excited to share this experience with other vegans, but also vegetarians, flexitarians, and even hardcore carnivores -- really anyone who wants to eat great food while exploring a beautiful, less touristy part of the city.
All your vegan food at each stop is included in your experience price!
One magical tea concoction is included in your ticket, and there will be water available at each stop.
Our walk will take us through U Street, Shaw, Pleasant Plains, Columbia Heights, and Adams Morgan, some of the most distinctive neighborhoods in DC, each with its own culture and feel, though often overlooked by visitors. These aren't the typical tourist destinations like Georgetown and the National Mall, but I can provide vegan restaurant recommendations all over the city so you'll stay well fed for the rest of your trip!
最多10人參加，不限年齡。 Guests should be able to walk about three miles with some light hills
If you have any other dietary preferences or allergies please let me know as early as possible and I'll do my best to accommodate!
