These marine microcosms bustle with life that lies in wait for the next incoming tide... This unique excursion is a real-life treasure hunt: you never know what you might find... Sea stars and abalone, anemones and oyster-catchers, sea urchins and nudibranchs, the list goes on! Cypress will help you learn about some of the most amazing and iconic marine life in California! We will spend about 90 minutes exploring the different intertidal zones and beaches of Point Pinos. Our small group will get the chance to observe cool creatures, explore hidden caverns in the rocks, and learn about the history of conservation and business in Monterey. This tour is a great way to get to know the flora and fauna of the California Coast, as well as learn about natural history from a knowledgeable and passionate host! This experience is great for families with young children, people who are landlubbers, or anyone interested in the life and beauty of Monterey's world-class coastline!

The Tidepool Tours take place at The Great Tidepool at scenic Point Piños in Pacific Grove. There is plenty of free parking just off Ocean View Blvd. This location is a must see- marine life abounds, waves crash, sand dunes sway, and rocks glisten!
This experience involves walking on coastal rocks which may be slippery or unstable. I will give you safety tips to ensure you are safe, but you need to be physically capable for this experience.
