This is a walking tour about the rich history of Johannesburg, The discovery of Gold in 1886, 1950 group settlement act and Nelson Mandela starting a law firm to Gandhi square, The tour will be full of photography experience we will be seeing a lot of old architect along with the history. Every now and then we interact with the locals & take some great pictures. By walking through the city of Gold you will feel the hustle & bustle of the people, lifestyle, & culture. We will start at Museum Africa, in Newtown, then move on to the workers museum, the last surviving municipal compounds for African men in Johannesburg, then continue our walk to Chancellor House where Nelson Mandela and Oliver Tambo set up South Africa's first black-owned law firm. we continue on to main street which has some of the best old buildings in the city, it will lead us to Gandhi square, a busy urban hub of commercial and retail activity, from here we move on to Top of Africa which has been the tallest skyscraper on the continent. After Carlton, we take local transport to Maboneng Precinct for lunch Braii (barbecue) we are Vegan, vegetarian friendly.
This is a great way of exploring, learning and understanding about the history, and current situation in Johannesburg. I've been hosting tours for over 5 years around the City.
