Prepare to center your mind and body with this online cello meditation practice hosted by The Wong Janice. For the first few minutes, we'll start with introductions and a cup of tea together to warm up the heart and the body. Next we'll do a few body and breath awareness exercises to relax, as you take your position on the floor to dive deeper into the meditation with beautiful live cello music.

Through the combination of music and meditation, you may experience:
- healing and deep relaxation
- feeling more grounded and emotionally connected

A little about the music: For each piece played, Janice will first play a low grounding tone and then play sweeping cello melodies on top. Each piece is based on a different emotion. For the duration of the practice, there will be moments of silence in between the pieces to give you a chance to focus again on your breath.

We will end the concert with another cup of hot tea and there will be time for sharing in the group.

First of all, The Wong Janice experience was highly enjoyable partnering relaxing classical or new age cello music with light meditation. She compelled a bit of light conversation from each of us making us feel at ease and welcomed to the experience. Started out with an introduction on the moods, feelings, or thoughts we might get out of each piece she played in which became my focus and I really experienced the musical journey in my own personal way. Meditation is most certainly not my strong suit- I am constantly moving either mentally or physically I'm afraid, so I wrote while she played. Gathering my thoughts on paper. The first song I felt as though I had started a journey & I was searching for answers to my questions on things in my life. Also it seemed as though I was traveling to different parts of the world- thus my desire to be free and experience the beauty of the world. Then I felt partly through the end of the song that I was going through a dire situation and felt kind of helpless, depressed, and sort of angry but then soon I was drawn away to another place still seeking, searching some how for something I can't express. The second song also felt like I was drifting, yet more focus, more forbidding, contemplating what step I needed to take in that next moment. Then the third song brought forth a light heartedness; it sounded like a light rain falling on a metal roof; bouncing off almost playfully. Then it became a dance, and it was peaceful, calming, & tranquil. The last song I felt like I was traveling again on my journey through time. I felt like I was walking in a vast open space, but at the same time I was looking through rooms that held old and wonderful memories of my family being together when my grandfather was alive and it seemed to bring back such a wholeness, a way of life that I had depended on, family unity, & the support that one's family gives when it seems all is lost, or on shaky ground. The song ended sweetly and gently leaving me at peace & ready to meet the day with good choices to make, & a steady peace of mind. Thank you Janice for offering this experience though Airbnb, and allowing me this beautiful journey.

I highly recommend this experience. Even if you are like me and have trouble focusing during most meditation or yoga sessions - I felt centered and at peace. This type of guided meditation is a game-changer for me.

The Wong Janice was incredible! What a gift of an hour. She has the most soothing voice and her cello skills are amazing. My partner and I both loved it and found her to be so very welcoming and skillful. I’d love to do this one again:)

Incredibly centering and relaxing! I've been preparing for my licensure exam for nursing and the anxiety was becoming overwhelming. This experience really helped me put everything into perspective. I found it very calming. I'll be back!
