We'll start the day with some arrival drinks (hot coffee or cold beer) and snacks before diving straight into the dough, mixing everything by hand from fresh, organic ingredients. While our dough is proving, we'll turn our attention to the wood-fired pizzas, first making our own sauce from fresh tomatoes, before shaping and topping our pizzas by hand and baking them in 90 seconds in the roaring-hot clay oven. There will be drinks throughout the day. Have you tried vermut? We'll enjoy a cold glass from the local bodega. Weather-permitting, we'll take a dip in the pool, so don't forget your towel! There will be time to take in the beautiful surroundings, go looking for some fresh herbs in the garden, and enjoy the views back over Barcelona. All pizza'd out, we'll end by baking our own artisan breads to take home!
I’m a bread and pizza obsessive, working with all things dough on an almost daily basis for the last 10 years - and sharing my knowledge through workshops for the last five. My passion has taken me on pizza pilgrimages to Italy and beyond, and to where we now live, in the mountains overlooking Barcelona, where I can indulge my love for cooking outdoors. When I'm not slinging pizzas in the garden, I’m making loaves in my newly set up micro-bakery, pedalling them fresh across Barcelona to friends and restaurants alike.

We'll spend the day outside enjoying the sunshine and fresh country air. We're located in the village of Begues, a 25 minute drive from Barcelona and accessible by a train-bus combo from the centre of town. A 15-20 minute train will take you from Barcelona Sants to Gavà, and from there it's a 15-20 min train up the mountain! We're in Zone 1 of the transport network. I'll contact you with specific times before the day!

If the pool's in action (June to end of September-ish), please bring your swimming stuff & some sun cream. In winter, bring a jumper just in case, it's a couple of degrees cooler than in the centre of the city!
