We'll meet in the Hapjeong area to visit a famous charcoal barbecue restaurant. Then we'll make our way through the market sampling foods, such as hotteok—sweet pancakes with a syrupy filling, fried chicken, glutinous rice donuts, spicy rice cakes, and more. We'll end our day with jeon-savory meat and veggie pancakes and cloudy rice beer. You'll get your fill of Seoul's hidden culinary treasures while you learn about Korean food culture through conversation and fun drinking games. If the group is small, this experience can be customized to your tastes.

I am a restaurateur, food expert, tour operator and a video fixer and producer. I am Korean adoptee that grew up in America and returned to Korea in 2005 with no money and no expectations. Later for fun I started a food blog—Seoul Eats—which became popular and put me in touch with local press and media. I guess I am little famous and can be seen on Netflix’s Street Food Asia, Parts Unknown with the late Anthony Bourdain (RIP), Andrew Zimmern, John Torode, Judy Joo, and I have appeared on the BBC, NYT, Nat Geo and more. I have hung out with famous youtubers such as Mark Wiens of Migrationology, Simon and Martina of Eat Your Kimchi, Joma, Drew Brinksy, etc. Even though this is a food experience, we'll also talk about everything from current events to local travel tips. I'll teach you how to eat and travel like a local.
You'll get to explore the Hongik area in the western half of the city. We'll visit great restaurants and the Mangwon Market, all while eating and drinking some of Korea's best food and drink.
