Guests will be picked up from a destination of their choosing, driven to a remote lookout in the Columbia River Gorge with views of Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Ranier and Mt. Adams. Lessons on photography will be offered at the guests preference but the setting sun, wine, cheese and crackers tend to be a favorite (don't worry, I'm not offended). While guests enjoy their surroundings and bask in the last light of the day, I will capture the memory to be saved forever.
Having grown up in Central Oregon, hiking and seeking advantageous view points has been my number one pastime since I was a child. From this, my passion for photography ignited. For the past six years I've been freelancing my work professionally—including two years of international travel prior to settling down in Portland. Coupling this expertise with my love for the outdoors and connecting with people, guests should prepare for a comfortable and awe-inspiring excursion into the Columbia River Gorge.
A cheese & cracker board will be provided. (if you have a different request, I'm happy to accommodate)
Wine (red/white at your preference) or beer (also at your preference) will be included.
To and from destination, back to drop-off of your choosing.
In addition to hors d'oeuvres and drinks, guests will receive a collection of photographs from the lookout point.
The lookout point is roughly an hour drive from Portland, though it seems much shorter as we cruise through the remarkable Columbia River Gorge. Upon completion of ominous forested ascent, an additional 1/4 mile walk to the lookout, tucked into the landscape like a crown jewel, is the final step of the journey.
Jacket (weather dependent)
The lookout point is elevated, therefore a windbreaker isn't a bad thing to have along, but I have additional outerwear if necessary.
