Salem is a wonderful walking city, best seen on foot. We'll 'walk and talk' throughout our tour, visiting about 20 locations depending on the pace and interest of the group. We'll discuss the Salem Witch Trials of 1692, as well as the Golden Age of Sail and Salem's role in the Revolutionary War. As a resident, I can share local color and stories to help bring Salem alive for you. Our tour is largely historical, but I may sprinkle in a legend or two. The tour length can vary based on interaction and pace, but will generally be about 2 hours. If the time of the tour posted does not work for you, feel free to drop me a note and I will do my best to accommodate your travel plans. Night tours are booked by request. I also do a focused tour called Salem's Witch Hysteria of 1692. Dates and times of each tour can be adjusted for your itinerary. NOTE: Yes I am still conducting tours in the great outdoors, but please be aware other locations in the city may be closed so check ahead if you had additional plans for museums or dining.
I am a licensed tour guide who has lived in Salem for almost all of my 60 years. Your tour will always be led by me, and I welcome any questions or discussions along the way. I don't wear a costume and I'm not an actress, but I can help you explore our beautiful city, including some neighborhoods you may not see on your own.
If we happen upon a wet day, I can provide umbrellas and ponchos by request. Please note on cold or wet days, I may not be…

We will not enter any buildings; the tour is entirely outdoors but will give you a good overview of places you may wish to explore further on your own.
