Start at the Modern Art Museum. I discuss sculptures outside museum & the amazing architecture of museum itself, designed by Tadao Ando. We go inside to further expand on the architecture and permanent exhibit. I touch on my insider info of famous family who made all this possible. We then move across the street to the Kimbell, discuss the outdoor sculptures, art & architecture by Louis Kahn & Renzo Piano. Then walk around to the hidden "back entrance". There you get an exclusive insider look at the special entrance for artwork. We go over the painstaking details this museum takes to move world class artwork in their space. We then go across the street from the Amon Carter Museum. Yet another world class gem both in the collection & architecture by Phillip Johnson. I will discuss how this museum in particular jump started the cultural district of Fort Worth. We will then walk across the street past the Will Rogers Coliseum and discuss its roll in the City of Fort Worth. Discuss Moderne (Art Deco) architecture by Wyatt C. Hedrick. We will continue back to the Modern Art Museum where the tour will finish. Throughout tour, I will go into the Fort Worth movers and shakers that made each museum possible. I share my inside stories and information regarding each milestone.
I love art museums. Always have. When I moved Fort Worth in 1995 I immediately immersed myself in the art community. Fort Worth has a fantastic cultural district that houses world class art. I spend as much time there as I can. It is my happy place. I was a member of the Amon Carter Young Adult Group in the early 2000's and a member of the Modern Art Museum as well. These groups allowed me to continue my art education specific to these Fort Worth exhibits. While in college I took as many art, art history classes as I could.
