My name is Ciro Jaén. I was born and raised in the Isthmus of Panama and grew up in the former Canal Zone. I have always been passionate about showing others the best my country has to offer and about ten years ago, I decided to become a tour guide. The area I grew up and still live in has played a significant role in the country's history and culture since the canal was completed and started operations in 1914. It is a fascinating, green neighborhood with a North American character, unlike any other area in the city. I always truly enjoy showing tourists around my neighbourhood, taking them to the historic places while sharing interesting facts and personal anecdotes.
