You 'll learn the basic knowledge and skills of calligraphy through this lesson. Learn about the history, how to use the tools, how to write your name and short messages with Kaisho(one of the Shodo style)on Hanshi(Japanese paper). At the end of the lesson, write some messages on a greeting card or Japanese folding fan and you can take them home. If you choose a greeting card, you can send it using a Japanese stamp. Note: If I receive a request in advance to hold a calligraphy lesson other than what is listed on the calendar timetable, I will try my best to accommodate your schedule. So please feel free to contact me!
Hi I'm Sachiko, an Airbnb host in Sapporo, Hokkaido. I was born and raised here in Hokkaido. I have been organizing international gatherings for many years including a Shodou workshop for non-Japanese people. What I love most about Shodou is that it can help you convey your emotions and feelings. I can provide you a lesson on the basic way of writing with an ink-dipped brush.
