The event will take place in my apartment so you'll have the chance to experience a bit of the life of a true local. I'll will treat you like my friends coming to my place. We'll start with an appetiser consisting of a seasonal selection of local products (cheese, cold cuts and wine) and in the meantime we'll get to know each other a bit more. Then I'll teach you the traditional recipe of Gnocchi and some of its history in Verona that dates back to the 16th century. We'll make everything from scratch together and then we'll match with two different kind of sauces: one is butter&sage and another one tomato sauce both topped with Grana Padano DOP (a similar type of Parmesan Cheese typical of this area). At the end of the experience you'll eat your lovely food creation accompanied by the best local wines of Valpolicella followed by Italian digestif and coffee. My goal is to share all my knowledge and passion with you so next time you'll be the one teaching to your family and friends!
I've worked as Restaurant Manager for 5 years and I've been in the Hospitality Industry for about 10 years. Now I'm back in my hometown, Verona, and I'm here to share with you my culture and my experience. I'm not a professional chef but I enjoy cooking and always matching a good glass of wine. I'm genuinely passionate about food and of course about Italian specialities and lifestyle.

We'll stay in my apartment pretty close to the city center. You can easily reach it by bus and I recommend using Google Maps to check what's the most convenient for you: for example from Castel Vecchio bus stop it only takes 10 minutes and you'll arrive just in front of the building. The number of buses that will take you straight to the location are 30 - 31 and 41.
Sense of humor and your smile! :-)
The idea of this experience came to my mind when I've cooked for my international friends during my stay overseas: their interest in Italian food made me happy and proud. It's not an academic class but a friendly night where we'll share the essence of Italy: good food, good wine and good laughs :-)
