Whether you are making coffee at home, looking to make a move into the coffee industry or just want to learn more about coffee this workshop will take you through everything you need to know. In our 3 hour foundation barista course we will take you through; - How coffee is grown and processed - How to dose & tamp to get the perfect extraction - How to adjust your grinder and achieve the right grind - Spinning milk - Learn to make all the coffee variations (flat white, cappuccino, latte, piccolo, espresso, long black, mocha) - Pouring basic Latte Art - Drink all the coffees you make!

I am a company director at Black Market Roasters, a specialty coffee roastery, and a certified Q Grader of specialty coffee. I taste and profile the flavour of new coffees and have years of experience in making, teaching and scoring specialty coffee. Franco is a head trainer with Black Market Training and teaches a variety of barista courses, from beginners to Latte Art. He has competed in barista championships and is well-versed in making and teaching specialty coffee. Our mission at Black Market Roasters is to educate people about specialty coffee and make it accessible for everyone.
This workshop is conducted in a specialised coffee training room designed for coffee professionals. It is located inside a coffee roastery, in the heart of Sydneys coffee scene, Marrickville.
