The art of Macarons with a French Chef

In this hands-on experience, you will learn how to make macarons from start to finish: making your shells batter using the Italian meringue technique (it will be much less scary once I have explained it all!), using a piping bag to pipe your shells, how to bake your macarons, making the filling, finishing them and lastly EAT THEM!! You will go home with yummy macarons to share with your family and friends and your recipe to do it all over again at home!

I am a qualified French Patisserie Chef with 9 years of experience and a passion for sharing my knowledge, specially when it comes to making macarons! I have lived in Bristol for the past four years and I am thrilled to organise these workshops where I get to teach the art of making macarons in a friendly atmosphere . In addition to English, I speak fluently French (oui!) and Spanish (Sí!).
The workshop will take place in my home kitchen where I bake all my wedding cakes and big patisserie orders for weddings and other events, so it is well equipped. But since it is a domestic kitchen, all the techniques will be easily adaptable to your own kitchen at home!

All the equipment will be provided on the day, including a box to bring back your macarons home. Just come as you are, with nice and comfy clothes and shoes and prepared to have fun!
Bring an apron if possible, or clothes that you don't ming getting a stain or two. Dress comfortably as we will be on our feet for most of the time.
