We'll meet up in front of Reykjavík's biggest landmark. From there I'll show you some hidden treasures as well as popular points of interest. Along the way, I'll share local stories with and you will get to taste 9 traditional local foods. I believe that the best way to get to know your destination is through local foods, so I am very keen to introduce you to some of Iceland's most delicious dishes. At the end of the tour we'll sit down in a funky little bar for a beer tasting and chat.
Lella & Lalli
We are Lella and Lalli, Reykjavik locals who I love to show people around our city. We run our own personal tour company called Funky Iceland that aims to be personal, entertaining and leave guests with a positive impression of Iceland and a smile on their face. We are storytellers and have a big passion for sharing local stories and personal anecdotes. We balance the act of being fun and informative as well as providing a personal connection. We are honoured to be one of top-rated walking tour companies in town as hundreds of 5-star reviews across different platforms can confirm. We also believe that the best way to get to know a destination is through its local food and drink. That is why we want to take you and your tastebuds on a journey to introduce you to Iceland, its history and culture. Do you have the stomach for it?
Tasting of 9 delicious traditional Icelandic foods. The tastings include fermented shark, smoked lamb, traditional meat soup…
You will get to taste 5 interesting craft beers.
We visit Hallgrímskirkja Church, where I will tell you how it came to be and why it is important to Icelanders. From there we'll make our way downtown and we'll pop into a few food places for tastings along the way. I will share stories and local information with you as we pass some hidden gems and more popular points of interest.
Let me know if you have any dietary restrictions and I'll do my best to accommodate to that. This tour is a unique blend of history, traditional food, and craft beer tasting.
