We'll meet you in the harbor in Riomaggiore and depart on the tour. We will slowly make our way up the coast of the Cinque Terre, stopping in front of each village to give you a little bit of history and insider information, and give you an opportunity to take photos of the villages by the sea, which is the best way to capture each village's beauty. Once we reach Monterosso we'll turn around and slowing head back to Riomaggiore, with the sun setting behind us. We'll sip local prosecco, and you'll be able to see the vineyards where the grapes that went into making this prosecco were grown. Yuri is an expert in wine and has his own vineyards, so he's able to provide guests with information about how grapes are grown on our cliffs, and what makes the Cinque Terre wine which you'll be drinking so unique. You'll also be munching on homemade focaccia from the local baker, made fresh daily and a must food to try while in the Cinque Terre. You can jump in the sea during the tour as well. Once we return to Riomaggiore, Yuri's wife will have booked you a table in the harbor at a fantastic seafood restaurant (if you are interested) and you can finish your night eating local seafood in the harbor. We can sum it up in 3 words: La dolce vita :)
Yuri is born and raised in Riomaggiore, with a passion for the sea and for sharing his roots with people from all over the world. He is a licensed captain with years of experience on the sea. He has co-hosted a similar experience for the last year with his best friend and is now doing the experience himself. Nothing makes Yuri happier than showing off his stomping ground and providing his guests with a once in a lifetime experience of the Cinque Terre. His hope is that his guests leave the tour with fond memories, incredible photos, new friends, and feeling that they were treated like a personal guest in the Cinque Terre. Yuri can give you information about the Cinque Terre that only a local would know. And his Canadian wife, Kelly, does all the bookings for him so guests will be communicating with a native English speaker.
