Our Alpaca Encounter consists of a meet and greet session followed by a short walk and lasts approximately 1 1/2 hours. During the encounter you will: Meet our Herd of 16 alpacas. See them close up and hand feed them. Learn about alpacas, their colourful history, their valuable fibre and how to care for them. Coffee, tea soft drinks and snacks are provided as part of the encounter.
We can provide transport from the local train station, Taff's Well, which is a twenty minute journey from Cardiff Central and cost £5.40 for a return ticket. Trains run every 15 minutes. We can also pick up from the Pentyrch village bus stop. If you have your own car we have plenty of parking.
We live in the countryside on the Garth Mountain but are only 8 miles away from Cardiff City centre. The Garth Mountain provides great walks with stunning views over Cardiff, the Severn Estuary, the Welsh Valleys and the Brecon Beacons.
