My home is in Clintonville, voted the best neighborhood in Columbus. I am ten minutes from the iconic LeVeque Tower, yet surrounded by green spaces and watersheds. Take a walk back into time and visit a neighborhood reminiscent of the carefree days of early Americana where kids still play on the streets and families walk over to ask for cups of sugar. Once you pass the lion sentinels, you will be welcomed by our feline force of five and then walk into our gated yard with sunflowers, milkweed and my small sanctuary of cats and butters (caterpillars and butterflies). Learn to recognize, provide, grow, and safely release butterflies back into the wild and how to create not just pollinator pathways, but caterpillar gardens. There will be butterflies in various stages available for viewing.
Meet the butterflies
There are few animals as symbolic and beautiful as a butterfly. But they’re more than just looks—they serve an important purpose pollinating plants. From caterpillar to chrysalis to taking flight, their transformation is dramatic, and you just might witness the moment they break through.
Tea and Water will be provided to guests.
You will be visiting my home in historic Clintonville and spending the majority of your time in my backyard environs. Water with lemon and tea also served.
You will be in close contact with insects like bees, praying mantis, butterflies, and the occasional gold and red finches. The main event will be the caterpillar sanctuary and the occasional cat of the feline kingdom.
