Are you ready to drink like a local? Join me for a Dive Bar History Crawl that will take you off the beaten path. On this two and a half hour (2.5) hour crawl, we’ll enjoy some of the cheapest beer and most interesting lore Philly has to offer. We’ll meet in the courtyard of City Hall and after a quick architectural overview of this historic building to work up a thirst, we’ll head to our first of three stops. As we take the path less traveled in between destinations, I’ll point out some of Philly’s incredible street art, architectural quirks and share some of our City’s history that you won’t find in any guidebook. By the time this tour is over, you’ll know what makes a Citywide Special and why Philly sports fans are wary of the spirit of Billy Penn. All the bars we will be going to are cash only and strictly card, so you'll need cash and a valid 21+ ID.
We will be visiting three of Center City’s best dive bars, where the beer is cheap and the conversations, like the peanuts, are salty. Our first stop is an oasis of authenticity - a bar renown for its cheap tallboys, serious mood lighting and some of the best bar food you can find. Our second stop is loved by locals of the human and canine variety. Last stop is the birthplace of the City’s most famous drink deal.
This crawl is approximately 1.2 miles long, and will entail around 30 minutes of walking total. Each venue and route is ADA accessible. You will have an opportunity to order food at the first location, but the last two stops do not serve food. 21+ only.
