Hi! I am Ricci and I have been making candles for over 10 years. I became interested in creating my own candles when soy first started making an appearance as a safer alternative to paraffin. Founder of Sonoma 707 Candle Co. I bring my expertise in soy candle production to you. Not only will we create great smelling candles, but you will learn the basics of working with soy and leave with a comfortable understanding of ratios, temperatures and fragrance. We will discuss sourcing and at home methods of candle making. Finally, with our professional label maker and photoshop skills we will together create an all custom one of a kind label for your candle.
We will provide all you need to create three great candles! All safety equipment included, gloves, glasses and aprons as well…
Our workshop is located in the historical Jack London Village, one of the oldest stone buildings on the west coast. Originally built as a saw mill it’s spent it’s years evolving into what today is home to restaurants, a chocolate shop, tasting room and candle shop! Some, do say, it’s haunted.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to get settled. Candles take approximately one hour to dry. There are times, depending on the class, weather and size of candle container that you will not be able to leave with your candle. Arrangements will need to be made for pickup/deliver or shipment.
