Experience the wonder of honey bees in a beautiful, urban garden setting. Bees are so important to our environment! I want to help you learn more about how they live together and function. After checking out the urban garden and spotting the many blooming plants with pollinators. You'll suit up and become a beekeeper. You will be able to see the bees up close and personal. I'll conclude with a honey tasting so you can taste the honey made by the bees you visited. Also if you like to grow your own food, I will let you pick free seeds from my seed bank and I will explain when and how to plant them.
I'm the founder of Bees & Refugees initiative. After 20 years of supply chain and fashion management, came across bees, I fell in love! I took a ton of training, volunteered with mentors, got involved with local beekeeping organisation and I have my own hive in my little urban garden in Hammersmith, West London. By buying this experience you're supporting a local initiative that aims to provide workshops for local refugees in Beekeeping and hive making & queen rearing methods. Moreover, it aims to provide technical and logistical support for interested refugees by supplying them with a starter beekeeping kit including a hive, as well as a space for their hives to be placed in.
