Arrive at the Kitty Hotel homestead grab a coffee, fruit or scone before our tour. Visit animal enclosures armed with carrots & treats as the animals come and visit. The horse & goats love carrots & grapes, the pigs will eat just about anything. Inside the chicken enclosure baby chicks can be held if mommy hen permits. See mother hens with chicks & more sitting on eggs ready to hatch out babies soon. Often there are baby ducks or peacocks depending on time of year. Treats can be offered as the eager hens gather around looking for their favorite snacks. Bunnies can be caressed or held and the guinea pigs are always lil critters that bring a smile to my face. Just sitting back and watching the animals feed, swim and engage with each other is fascinating. Sip your coffee while watching the show. Safety guidelines must be respected so that the experience is safe for the animals and the visitors. At any time of year there are many rescued animals that live here harmoniously. The raised bed gardens provide vegetables, herbs and flowers and are used to feed the household and also the animals. Large compost piles give us beautiful black rich compost each spring to produce our abundant garden and the circle of life is illustrated in a rich tapestry at the Kitty Hotel, a modest homestead. 100% of your fee goes toward the upkeep and care of the animals.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO MESSAGE FOR CUSTOM TIMES. My modest & simple residence is home to many animals, many rescues. Come and tour the ranchette & see hens, pigs, feed carrots to a horse and 5 goats & 2 alpacas, watch the peacocks mingle among us as they look for handouts, play with rabbits as they nibble their breakfast greens and chuckle as you watch the ducks swimming in their pond while munching on lettuce. The resident dogs and cats are harmonious with all the other creatures. Almost everyone was rescued and enjoy their life in my sanctuary. Using all organic feed and sprouts we also use apple cider vinegar, diatomaceous earth and other natural remedies to keep animals healthy. Tea & coffee will be available. IF ANYONE IS AFRAID OF DOGS PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I HAVE 4 BIG RESCUES THAT LOVE PEOPLE. I CAN CONFINE THEM IF NEEDED.
Some simple scones, biscuits or a simple plate of fruit will be available. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated, ie…
Thermos of hot coffee, iced or hot tea and a big pitcher of water
There are 3 enclosures for animals. One for horse, goats, alpacas. One for pigs, one larger one for all chickens, ducks and guinea fowl. Rabbits also available. Each enclosure is accessible but fair warning there is animal poop on the ground and depending on interaction with animals, one may get dirty. Scratching Jethro's belly (Large boar) may mean getting dirty knees. We do our best to maintain sanitary and healthy conditions.
Custom tours available on request. Children are welcome provided they understand and respect the safety guidelines set by tour leader. Children are NOT permitted to run wild and need to remain with the main group. This is designed as an easy short activity before you head into Yosemite.
