DUE TO AN EXTENSIVE FIRE IN WOLLEMI NATIONAL PARK, THIS PARK HAS BEEN CLOSED SINCE NOVEMBER 2019 AND WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ONCE IT WILL HAVE RE-OPENED AND IT WILL BE SAFE, WE WILL BE OFFERING THE GLOW WORM TUNNEL TRACK TOUR AGAIN (This last update was made on Dec 18, 2019) Escape the noisy city life and avoid the busy weekend crowds around the scenic hot spots of the Blue Mountains to follow us to a very peaceful and idyllic part of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, the Wollemi National Park with its tranquil Glow Worm Tunnel Track and an historic, 400 meter long railway tunnel lit by thousands of glow worms. This track is a not difficult (Grade 3) round walk of 6.6 miles (10.7km) which takes 4 hours whereby the 320m elevation gain is a good exercise for those who love hiking. Our interpretive guided tour is specifically designed for very small groups of maximum three participants to get a most personal experience on the walking track as well as during the journey of 50 miles (80km) from Katoomba to the west in our well equipped Landcruiser. Enjoy unspoiled nature and learn about the history, geology, flora and fauna of this gorgeous part of the World Heritage Area. There will also be plenty of opportunities for great photo shots including wild kangaroos and wombats.
Hello from your personal guides Wolfgang and Hedi, the only local tour guide couple (why settling for one guide if you can get two) in the Blue Mountains, who love showing with you the magnificent sights and sounds of this UNESCO World Heritage Area. We are passionate hiking enthusiasts with a Parks Eco Pass license for guided walking tours awarded by the National Park & Wildlife Service and accredited for Quality and Sustainable Tourism. Let us share with you our knowledge and experience of many hundreds of local mountain hikes, showing and explaining to you -Hedi has a master in mineralogy- the natural wonders of this gorgeous UNESCO World Heritage Area. Please also check out our alternative experience 'Blue Mountains Amazing Hiking Tracks' for other hiking tours in our beautiful mountains.

Best and most economical way to travel to Blue Mountains is by a 2-hours train ride on the Blue Mountains Line (leaving Central Station mostly from platform 2 to 8) to Katoomba Station using Sydney's public transport OPAL smart card. Buy this card at the station or from any news agent shop.
