The guided tour will start in Strasbourg’s most famous historic district, ‘La Petit France’, and include the first culinary stop to sample a famous sweet speciality local to this very neighbourhood. After a relaxing stroll along the river the next pause, by way of contrast, will be for a classic French savoury dish. Pushing on after this delicious snack, the tour will proceed to a very lively and popular part of Strasbourg which will offer the chance to experience colourful everyday life in this vibrant city. This location will also offer an ideal opportunity to savour some superb regional cuisine. The next phase of the walking tour will approach the very heart of historic Strasbourg, which is dominated by the world famous cathedral as well as numerous impressive buildings and monuments. This section of the tour will enable guests to learn about the layout and development of the city over the centuries. In the bustling adjoining streets and squares are countless wonderful shops purveying mouthwatering examples of fine gourmet food and wine. Finally, the culinary walking tour will culminate in fine style with a specially organised tasting of gorgeous pastries baked by one of France’s most esteemed Pastry Chefs before concluding at Strasbourg’s most celebrated historical landmark
I was born in Strasbourg and spent a significant part of his childhood in this historic city. After completing my studies abroad, I returned to Strasbourg to establish my own tourism venture to promote primarily my three great passions: the gastronomy, culture and history of my beautiful home city. Aware of how unforgettable and rewarding any visit to Strasbourg should always be for visitors, I have created an exclusive and unique experience for the traveller which explores the history and traditions of life in Strasbourg, while simultaneously discovering some of the delicious array of culinary options that this wonderful city has to offer. My goal is to offer a specially tailored itinerary that will allow the visitor to experience Strasbourg as an insider as well as a welcome guest.
