Join us for one-day art courses with a positive approach for students of ALL levels. There are a variety of classes offered including art appreciation lectures and studio classes—drawing, pastel painting, Chinese brush painting, watercolors. During the STUDIO CLASSES, students may work from a still life or are welcome to bring in a photograph for individual projects. Bring your favorite supplies, or use available supplies from the teacher. ART APPRECIATION courses cultivate a broad awareness of artworks including artists and art history movements. In this two-hour seminar we will learn how to identify and describe the visual characteristics of various works using art terminology. We will explore the connections between representational and abstract art. Students will expand their vocabulary and acquire an overall enjoyment of the visual arts.
